Seven years ago on 1-11-2015, I sculpted my very first dragon. I was playing around with polymer clay left over from making Christmas gifts for my family, and this handsome fellow was "hatched"!
I was so excited by what I had made. Many friends raved and requested a dragon of their own when I first shared him on Facebook. It didn't take me long to become addicted to sculpting dragons!
I didn't actually start sculpting full time until 2017 and I haven't looked back since!
My process has changed quite a bit over the years. In honor of the hatchiversary, I thought it would be fun to remake my original dragon in my current style (and size), to show off how much the it has evolved.
There are so many things that I love about the two styles. I am still very proud of my very first dragon, but I am so happy with how my dragons have changed over the years.
I hope you enjoy these comparisons of the differences between the two.
I would love to know what you think. Do you have a favorite?
