❗Possible Shipping Delays❗

Posted by Elizabeth Mattingly on

Ok gang I need to make you aware of shipping delays that are occurring, mainly due to Covid-19.

I've noticed that delivery times have really slowed down over the past couple of weeks. An order for a repeat customer, that normally takes 2 business days to arrive, took 7 days to be delivered. It was shipped Priority Mail.

I dropped off several orders on July 21. Majority of these packages arrived within the week. But one of the packages actually arrived yesterday! It took 16 days to be delivered!!!! 😮☹ It was also shipped Priority Mail.

To give you some perspective, it shipped to Texas. I had one other order in that same batch that went to Texas as well. That package arrived on the 24th ( a 13 day difference for two orders with destinations that were only a couple hours apart). So there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the way packages are being processed through the USPS.

Several people in a few seller groups I'm in, are experiencing the same crazy delays. I've even seen packages sit over a week in a facility before moving on to the next one. And it's not just the USPS, FedEx and UPS are experiencing big delays as well.

I choose to ship through the post office, one because it is cheaper, but also because I prefer to drop the packages off in person. That way I can request a scan receipt, which provides proof that I shipped your order, in the case the tracking system doesn't update properly.

With that being said, I do my best to pack your orders the next business day, so they can be dropped off as quickly as possible. Delivery times are only estimates, and have been falling behind. If you're used to waiting til the last minute to order something, you might want to consider ordering a bit earlier than normal. Not just from me, but from any online retailer.

I don't know how long this will last, but wanted to make you aware of the possibility of delays. Thanks for being so understanding and supportive! ❤
